Who We Are
We are excited to be the "Three/Four" class. Our teacher is Mrs. Maxwell. In the past decade or so, grades two and three were combined, but with the reconfiguration of schools in Stettler, Botha is now a K-6 school so now grades 3 & 4 are combined.
KINDNESS and EFFORT
We are a rural school and of a rural culture and tradition of hard work, caring for and helping others. Our class is a reflection of that caring community tradition, and we shall try to install that great work ethic in the students.
Where We Are Going
We will endeavour to prepare ourselves for the future, which we doubt we can predict. However, we're pretty sure we'll be needing literacy and numeracy skills, so that is our main focus. We'll also be doing some project based learning to help us be engaged, curious, creative learners of 21st century skills which include innovation, communication, collaboration, problem solving, independence, self-motivation, use of technology and a habit of lifelong learning.
This reminds me of Logan LaPlante's TEDtalk about education. Use the link below if you're curious about what a 13 year old has to say about education.
